Michael J. Fleischhauer, CPA, CFP®, Licensed Insurance Agent
Mike Fleischhauer CPA, CFP® acquired the Lake County Tax Advisory Group in December of 2015. He and the staff provide tax preparation services, health, and life insurance services, personal financial, and income planning to those in Leesburg and The Villages area.
After serving in the United States Navy, Mr. Fleischhauer started his career in the financial services industry. As an intern in college, while studying for his accounting degree at the University of South Florida, Mike began his career with Scottrade back in 1998. Mike subsequently began advising clients in private practice and was with one of the nation’s largest regional CPA and consulting firms until 2005. Mike joined BB&T bank’s Wealth Management division in 2005 where he worked as a financial and estate planning specialist. Mike was in charge of and built the divisions business succession and exit planning groups until leaving in October of 2014.
Mike Fleischhauer is a Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner. Mr. Fleischhauer also holds the Florida Department of Insurance health, life, and annuity licenses and is a registered Investment Adviser Representative in the State of Florida.
Mr. Fleischhauer has a long career of helping families as well as small business owners. He has conducted continuing education programs for Certified Public Accountants, Attorneys, financial advisors, and insurance agents as well as informational seminars for individuals in the community.
Mike is currently a member of the American Legion post 347 in Lady Lake as well as a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose lodge 1271 in Leesburg, Mike’s previous memberships and charitable endeavor’s include: Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Northeast Exchange Club, Board Directors and as a wish coordinator for the Florida Chapter of the Marty Lyons Foundation, as a mentor through the Pinellas County School program “Partner to Advance School Success”, as a mentor with the Eckerd Youth Alternatives program “Hi-Five”, and a “big brother” with the Big Brother Big Sister program.
James Andolfo CPA, MSA
Mr. Andolfo is a Certified Public Accountant and holds two Masters degrees. He completed the IRS Annual Filing Season Program for both years the program has been in existence and is listed in both the 2015 and 2016 IRS’ provider directory.
Mr. Andolfo has 21 years of diverse industry experience and is in his fourth year with Lake County Tax Advisory group. In the recent past, Mr. Andolfo has had his own tax advice and compliance business specializing in estate and retirement related tax issues.
Mr. Andolfo, while giving back to the community, has volunteered with the IRS VITA program as both a preparer and coordinator. Mr. Andolfo has also hosted “Lunch and Learns” on important tax topics to retirees.
Bruce Yargeau is the Lake County Tax Advisory Group Public Relations Advocate. As client liaison, Mr. Yargeau is a human capital resource and is the voice of our clients. This dictates firm policy on customer relations and best practice management. Mr. Yargeau has served the United States Military since 1983. Mr. Yargeau initially served in the United States Navy and in 1988 transferred to the United States Air Force. Mr. Yargeau is a distinguished serviceman having served in numerous overseas campaigns as recently as summer 2017. He has been recognized and the recipient of numerous military awards and honors. Additionally, Mr. Yargeau has been with the Civil Service since 1988. Mr. Yargeau is still actively serving in the United States Air Force Reserves at MacDill AFB Tampa. Mr. Yargeau has his certificate of completion to test for the State of Florida life insurance and annuity license and is scheduled to test in November. Mr. Yargeau also serves as a financial mentor on base to personnel preparing for retirement. He is an expert on TSP matters and facilitates training to military personnel planning for their financial needs.
Barb is an enrolled agent, which is a federally-authorized tax practitioner, and also brings 48 years of business experience from roles in banking. During this time Barb also provided personal tax preparation services for over 30 years. Barb is now a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Summerfield, Fl. and does volunteer for different functions in addition to her role in the Women Ministries.
Barb’s civic and volunteer activities over the years include the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, member of Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Illinois where she volunteered on many committees including; The Finance Board and Auditing Committee to name but a few.
Barb is now a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Summerfield, FL and does volunteer for different functions in addition to her role in the Women Ministries.
Lynn Shumway brings 44 years of experience in the financial industry to Lake County Tax Advisory Group. She started with Reynolds & Co. (now Morgan Stanley) and then moved to E. F. Hutton. Lynn has a storied and long career in the financial services industry. Lynn holds her Series 7 and Series 8 security licenses.
Lynn’s experience in customer care and her ability to manage the everyday functions of the office makes her a true asset to our firm and clients. She is here to offer assistance with any client needs you may have. Lynn resides in The Villages with her husband.
